Ivan Solís Micromill, a family business founded in 2018 by Ivan Solís Rivera and the Solís Cordero family, sustainably produces and markets specialty coffees, highlighting the classic characteristics of Santa María de Dota region.
The Rivera and Cordero high-elevation farms are known for their top-tier coffee production and conservation. They also have a coffee roasting coffee brand, Sagaz Coffee, exclusively roasted for the national Costa Rica market.
The Solis Micromill prioritizes sustainable development, holding the Costa Rican Essential License and NAMA coffee certification, and participating in environmental programs like Green Growth and Low Emission Incentives with Procomer and ICAFE.
Santa María de Dota, a cool, mountainous canton in Costa Rica's San Jose province, is ideal for coffee growing due to its high elevation and shade. It's part of the Los Santos zone, which includes Tarrazú and León Cortés Castro, all named after saints.

This lot comes from producer Oscar Antonio Ureña and his farm, Finca Higueronal. Oscar and his family handle to cultivation and harvesting themselves, before delivering their cherries to a local micro-mill for processing. Here it is fermented anaerobically in tanks for 96 hours before being transferred to raised beds for drying.
